Select a track, move the playhead, then edit a pose or position. Diamonds are editable keys. Drag a diamond to retime it. In timeline cells, arrows move between frames or tracks; Home and End go to the first or last frame.

Export your animation

Use lossless PNGs to keep every source color. GIF is widely shareable; video is available in browsers that support recording.

Random Hyrule animation

Generate a full Hyrule map with boss battles, monster dances, familiar characters and unexpected team-ups. Every piece and animation stays editable.

Repeat a world

A new clip keeps your existing animations. These encounters use genuine game poses with choreography made for the editor.

A new little adventure

Choose a setting and style. Make a new editable adventure with genuine game artwork.

Wild scenes are imaginative arrangements of genuine game assets.

Repeat a scene

Use the same seed, setting, story, and cast size to repeat a scene.

Creates a new editable scene. Your current scenes stay in the carousel, and Undo removes the new scene.

Windows, Mac & Linux controls

On Mac, Command is the ⌘ key and Option is the ⌥ key. Windows and Linux use Ctrl and Alt. Buttons work with a mouse or trackpad on all three systems.

Animation

Choose Animate with the Ezlo switch. Simple lets you choose an action, movement and speed for each piece, then drag it into place. Play previews every piece together. Settings controls length in seconds. Add Dialogue and choose Reveal text for a ready text effect. Moving a piece adjusts its whole path.

Timeline gives you individual poses, keys and timing. Switching views preserves the project. Custom animation remains intact in Simple until you explicitly choose Replace this piece’s animation. Animation and Scene have separate projects, saves and Undo. Import current scene creates an editable copy.

Use the timeline scrubber or frame field to move precisely. Add key, Delete key, Copy key, Paste key, and the previous/next key buttons edit timing. In the collection, choose genuine poses and set Frames per pose before Create pose sequence. Quick motion adds position keys. Lock prevents edits to a track; Mute hides its piece during playback and export. Visible can be keyed to make a piece appear or disappear. Previous frame shows an editing guide and is excluded from exports.

Use Export animation for GIF, PNG frames, a sprite sheet, or browser-supported video. PNG keeps exact pixels and transparency. GIF has a 256-color palette, and supported video formats depend on the browser. Frame limits, progress, and Cancel are shown before or during export.

Delete or reuse pieces: Delete and Backspace work from the canvas and the Pieces list. Copy, Cut, Paste, and Duplicate use Ctrl on Windows or Command on Mac. Copying stays inside the editor. The action bar beside the canvas provides buttons too.

Delete a complete canvas: Delete scene beside the scene tabs removes its entire canvas. Delete animation beside the animation tabs removes all pieces and timing in that clip. If it is the last one, a blank canvas remains in the same format. One Undo restores everything. Ctrl/Command+Shift+Delete or Backspace is the shortcut when you are not typing.

Scene, art, and file controls

With Select, double-click a dialogue box to edit right on the canvas. Enter adds a new line. Done, Ctrl+Enter on Windows or Linux, or Command+Enter on Mac applies the edit. Esc cancels; clicking outside applies it. Press Enter or F2 on a selected dialogue to start editing with the keyboard.

In Scene, choose Add pictures to import local photos into this canvas or make one carousel scene per picture. Select a picture to resize it with its corner handles or exact width and height, rotate it freely, or fit it to the canvas. Frames adds a pixel border to the whole canvas or the selected picture. Pictures stay on your device and are included when you save the project.

Pieces and Settings open the side panels on smaller screens. Settings puts selected-piece controls first. Canvas & background contains scene dimensions, format and transparency. Layers, scale, flips, order, duplication, deletion, and dialogue remain editable. The carousel adds, duplicates, and switches scenes. The collection controls sources, pose groups, directions, and tile size; Change selected pose and Edit boss parts act on a placed piece. Source archive crops a source sheet, My crops keeps saved selections, and PNG ↓ downloads one piece. Save project keeps editable JSON, Open restores it, Export PNG saves the frame, and Export all PNGs saves the carousel.

Random scene opens the settings. Surprise me again changes an existing generated scene in one click, with Undo available. When a handmade scene is active, it adds a new scene.

While typing or adjusting a field, text editing and field navigation keep their usual behavior. Save and Open remain available. Scene shortcuts pause while a dialog is open; Esc closes the dialog. Right-click and Mac Control-click keep the browser's context menu.

A SMALL FIELD GUIDE

Make a world worth sharing.

Your scenes and animations stay in this browser profile on this device. Other people opening the GitHub app get their own workspace. Use Save project for a backup; a project is shared only when you choose to share its file.

  1. Find your pieces. Open Environments, Characters, Boss parts, Objects or Enemies. Full bosses contains editor assemblies made from genuine parts, grouped by state. Select one in the scene and choose Edit boss parts to adjust its components. Choose a source, then click any available pose or tile. Place it in the scene, or paint with your selected brush.
  2. Try another pose. Select a character in your scene, pick another pose from its source, then choose “Change selected pose.” You can flip, move, resize and layer every piece.
  3. Build your scene. Paint onto the canvas. Use Terrain for the ground, Objects for props, and Overlay for foreground details. Select lets you move placed pieces, including large map backgrounds.
  4. Make it personal. Add dialogue and type your own words. Drag an edge or corner of the selected text box to resize it; the text wraps automatically. Fit text to box adapts larger lettering, and Fit box to text makes room for all your words. Add more scenes for a carousel.
  5. Choose your format. Use a social preset or open Settings and select Free format. Set the width, height and PNG enlargement, then Apply size.
  6. Keep it crisp. Export a whole scene as PNG, or use PNG ↓ to save one transparent piece. Save project keeps every scene editable and portable.

Exact placement: drag from the collection to hold a piece by its center. Turn on 1 px precision, hold Alt / Option to bypass the grid, or use X/Y and the nudge buttons in Settings. Faded artwork outside the frame stays editable and is cropped from exports.

Surprise me: Random scene combines 98 stories across 99 genuine game environments, including boss rivalries, rescues and opposing teams. Choose Game-inspired adventures, Wild mashups, or either, plus a mood and cast size. Surprise me again rerolls a generated scene in one click; Undo restores it. Scenes made from scratch are kept.

Whole Hyrule: in Settings, choose Whole Hyrule from Canvas format for a terrain atlas or the illustrated game map. Each adds a new world canvas. Random scene has matching whole-world options filled with editable Easter eggs. Pinch or Ctrl+wheel to zoom in, scroll or use Hand to pan, and use Explore Easter eggs to jump between surprises. The terrain atlas includes cloud-area insets.

Large maps: choose a clean map region in Environments and press “Place in scene.” It starts at its original size. Switch to Select and drag the map to frame another area.

Manual crop: open Source archive to see the unchanged sheet. It may include community captions or palettes. Select only the game artwork, then save it to My crops. Exact color removal is optional and affects only new pieces.

Saving: your project autosaves in this browser. Save project also downloads a portable JSON file. Keep this app folder and its assets together.

Pixel accuracy: all supplied sheet artwork is preserved. A free crop is often best for sprites. A source sheet's labels or alignment gaps can be excluded by selecting the artwork precisely.
